CW2 Andrew Eaves made the ultimate sacrifice while conducting a training mission when his UH-60 Blackhawk crashed near Washington DC on January 29th, 2025.

Andrew was born November 19, 1985, in Columbus, Mississippi, the son of Hank Loyd and Betty Hayden Eaves.

Andrew attended Central Academy in Macon, Mississippi, and graduated high school from the Mississippi Challenge Academy in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and earned an Associates Degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Andrew was dedicated to serving his country.

After high school, Andrew served our country with the United States Navy, serving 10 years and earned the rank of E-6, First Class Petty Officer. After serving the United States Navy, Andrew felt the call to join the United States Army, where he spent 7 years, where he was a Black Hawk Pilot.

Andrew was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed everything outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his canine companions. He also enjoyed music and attending music festivals. Above all, Andrew was a family man. He married Carrie Marie Long on August 8, 2014, in Arkansas.
