On Wednesday, September 17th, SGT Donavon Scott made the ultimate sacrifice while conducting a training mission when his MH-60 Blackhawk crashed near JBLM, WA.

SGT Donavon L Scott was born December 19, 2000, in Puyallup, WA, and stepped into eternity September 17, 2025. He was a son, brother, grandson, cousin, teammate, and friend, and died doing the job that he loved. Donavon leaves behind his parents, Darel & Deanne Scott, his sister, Audria Scott, his grandparents, John & Marlene Barton and Myra Scott, and his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Raymond Scott. Donavon's absence has left an immeasurable void.

Donavon loved to have fun and challenged himself in everything he did. His competitive spirit was a part of everything he did. He played hard, worked harder, and focused on being better every day. And he challenged those around him to reach for their goals. His big smile and infectious laugh will always be a memory for those who knew him.

As part of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Donavon was an elite professional and took on every challenge he was presented with determination to succeed. A Night Stalker through and through. He was a warrior and protector at heart, and he served his country with pride.

He has left an indelible mark on our hearts and will always be remembered.
